Virtual Tour
Each year, Ross Collins CTC hosts multiple tours of the center for all students in Lauderdale County, Mississippi. These tours function as our most significant recruiting tool, providing students with an opportunity to travel to the center, meet faculty, and visit programs. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and out of an abundance of caution for the Ross Collins staff, students, and the visitors to our center, we have not hosted tours for the past two years. Consequently, student numbers for the Software Development program have fallen in recent years.
As the pandemic continues in 2022, the students in the Technology Student Association (TSA) sponsored a virtual event in January! At the event, they released a virtual tour website, providing access to information about Ross Collins, its programs, and a virtual tour of the Software Development classroom to aid in our recruiting efforts. Now prospective students, their parents, and members of the community can safely tour our classroom and learn about the center using an entirely digital solution. Using Matterport software, our TSA students have created a 3D twin of classroom space, transforming a physical experience into a digital one for anyone interested in getting more information about the program and school.
